GRE / TOEFL / IELTS

GRE

The (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for many graduate schools in the United States, in other English speaking countries and for English-taught graduate and business programs world wide. Created and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS), the exam aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing and critical thinking skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. The GRE General Test is offered as a computer-based exam administered by selected qualified testing centers. In the graduate school admissions process, the level of emphasis that is placed upon GRE scores varies widely between schools and between departments within schools. The importance of a GRE score can range from being a mere admission formality to an important selection factor.

They are promoting financial aid to those GRE applicants who prove economic hardship. ETS erases all test records that are older than 5 years, although graduate program policies on the admittance of scores older than 5 years will vary.

Courses offered:
1) Complete preparatory package with equal emphasis on analytical writing, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and experimental sections.

2) Complete package of 12 mock exams to give you a feel of how it will be on the real day. Discussion of answers and explanation of techniques and strategy after the exam is a huge plus.

TOEFL

The TOEFL evaluates the ability of an individual to use and understand English in an academic setting. It was developed to address the problem on ensuring English language proficiency for non-native speakers wishing to study at American universities. It has become an admission requirement for non-native English speakers at many English-speaking colleges and universities. Additionally, institutions such as government agencies, licensing bodies, businesses, or scholarship programs may require this test. A TOEFL score is valid for two years and then will no longer be officially reported since a candidate’s language proficiency could have significantly changed since the date of the test. Colleges and universities usually consider only the most recent TOEFL score.

The four-hour test consists of four sections, each measuring one of the basic language skills (while some tasks require integrating multiple skills) and all tasks focus on language used in an academic, higher education environment. The test cannot be taken more than once a week. There a re 4 sections in the test. They are Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading.

Taking the TOEFL test is a very important part of your journey to studying in an English-speaking country or program. Here's a basic overview to help you learn more about the test.

The basics of the TOEFL test:
The TOEFL test measures your ability to use and understand the English language as it’s read, written, heard and spoken in the university classroom. As the most accepted English-language test in the world, more than 8,500 universities, agencies, and other institutions in more than 130 countries accept the TOEFL test as part of their admissions criteria — including nearly every college and university in Australia and the UK. Watch our new TOEFL Passport videoto learn how the TOEFL test can help you reach your study abroad destination.

The test, often referred to as the TOEFL iBT® test, is administered at more than 4,500 test sites around the world. A paper-based version of the test is available in areas where TOEFL iBT testing is not possible.

In order for the TOEFL iBT to measure how well you read, listen, speak and write in English, and how well you use these skills together, you’ll be asked to integrate these skills for the test. For example, you may read a passage or listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about what you learned.

The TOEFL test measures your ability to integrate the four English skills you need in an academic setting, making it the most comprehensive academic English test available.
